Who We Are
We are a team of female creatives passionate about creating space for the stories and voices of women and counseling men in heart-centered communication and leadership. Our backgrounds cover writing, editing, acting, facilitation, entrepreneurship, marketing, and nonprofit leadership.
Medusa Collective offers services ranging from communication coaching, conflict resolution for businesses and individuals, trauma-informed counseling services for men and women, as well as content creation, editing, and voice coaching.
We believe stories can heal and that our narratives create our reality. We want to co-create a reality that is inclusive, meaningful and just for all humans. and grounded and empowered communication .
Our Mission
We know the value of words, the importance of quality communication and the power of narrative. Narrative creation is how we as humans form our reality, and yet, women haven’t historically had access to this dynamic process. That is changing, and we are part of the change. So are you. At Medusa Media Collective, we know you have a powerful voice and an important story. Therefore our mission is to support your journey from concept to creation to polished product, and to encourage healthy, empowered communication skills in business and personal relationships.Our Believes

About Amy
Amy has many years of professional experience ranging from social work to nonprofit leadership to consulting to leading community advocacy initiatives. Her MA in Peace and Conflict Resolution, as well as trauma-informed facilitation experience, guide all of her work.
She has facilitated workshops for business professionals, undergrads and graduate students in positive leadership, empowered communication, and creating social change, as well as regular facilitation in yoga, mindfulness, and holistic self-defense for women.
She specializes in conflict resolution for small businesses and nonprofits and navigating difficult conversations in personal relationships and professional settings, often focusing on boundary-setting with women and heart-centered communication practices with men. Her approach is trauma-informed, objective and intuitive, and she incorporates somatic practices as needed.
She is known for being both calm and tough, objective and passionate, funny and fierce and strongly decisive.
Her career journey began working as a case manager with migrant farmworkers in western NC, where she sat with hundreds of farmworkers, bearing witness to stories of trauma and perseverance from some of the most vulnerable people in the United States. It was then she saw how deeply connected we all are, through our food, our air and water, and the experiences that make us human. She quickly advanced to a position of leadership of this nonprofit, working as executive director, guiding a significant expansion of the organization in size and budget. It was during this time that her passion for justice became fueled by an anger at the oppressive systems to which we are all bound. Also during this time, she learned to navigate burnout, secondary trauma exposure, and compassion fatigue.
After leaving her position as executive director of Vecinos Farmworker Health Program, she has been on a journey to use her skills towards collective liberation and community-building with justice and inclusivity for all humans, as well as our planet, as a guiding force. Her personal journey of emotional expansion and presence supported her in designing curriculum in empowered communication and heart-centered leadership.
